By the end of this guide, you'll be able to use ChatGPT to create a complete client seminar, workshop, or educational webinar from scratch — slides, talking points, and follow-up materials — in 90 minutes instead of a full day. Educational events are one of the highest-ROI marketing activities for advisors, and AI makes them feasible for solo practitioners.
What you'll need
Pick a topic that (a) your ideal client cares about and (b) you can speak to confidently. Strong topics for pre-retiree audiences:
Open ChatGPT and type: "Create a 45-minute financial seminar outline on [your topic] for an audience of [describe your client type, e.g., 'pre-retirees aged 55-65 with $500k-$2M in savings']. Include: intro hook, 4-5 key teaching points, real examples for each point, Q&A section, and a closing call to action (offer a complimentary review). No product pitches."
What you'll get: A complete outline with timing for each section and specific teaching points.
For each section in the outline, ask: "Expand Section 2 [paste the section header] into 200 words of talking points. Include one specific example or statistic. Keep it conversational — this will be spoken aloud, not read."
Repeat for each section. Save each section in a Google Doc as you go.
Ask: "Convert these talking points into slide bullet points. Each slide should have a title and 3-4 bullets. Each bullet should be a phrase, not a sentence — these are speaker notes guides, not walls of text. [Paste one section's talking points]."
